I can hardly believe that August Bank holiday weekend is coming up which means it’s September next week… how did that happen?! Before we even know it we’ll be digging out our winter coats and boots. Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself – hopefully we’ve got at least a few weeks of summer left to enjoy *says a silent prayer whilst looking at grey clouds outside*

Nevertheless if you’re planning a winter or a Christmas wedding then you’ll be all too aware that you need to start giving your winter wedding stationery some serious thought right about now. If you haven’t already sent out your winter wedding invitations then do get in touch as we still have some last minute availability. It’s also a good time to get your day stationery slot booked in and start finalising details – selecting place cards, menus, order of service, table numbers and your table plan.

Of course the majority of our handmade wedding stationery collections can be designed in wintery hues – icy blues, pretty silver and Christmas red so there is no need to feel restricted to the ‘winter’ wedding stationery collections. However here at Wedding Invitation Boutique we LOVE winter so much we have designed three specific winter / Christmas themed wedding invitations designs that I wanted to share with you over a three part blog series.

First up, and undoubtedly the most festive of all our wedding stationery collections is ‘Santa Baby’ Christmas themed wedding stationery. If you love everything Christmas then you’re bound to love this design, complete with a mistletoe illustration, teeny tiny sparkle Swarovski crystals and a super cute bow available in red, gingham or burgundy.

We offer three versions of this fabulous festive wedding invite – the pocketfold invitation with space for your additional information cards and reply card, the classic fold invitation and the flat invitation – perfect for evening receptions.

Now is also great time to start thinking about ordering your save the date cards if you are planning a 2017 Christmas wedding. With Christmas being such a busy time of year its a really good idea to ensure all your favourite people have your wedding date set in their calendar well in advance. Lots of couples love to send these out with their Christmas cards which I think is such a cute idea (plus it saves you on postage!).
