We launched the ‘Paris’ collection at the beginning of 2012 and it has been one of our best selling handmade wedding invitations ever since! I received a lovely photograph of a cake made with some of our ‘Paris’ crystal clusters so this is what inspired me to put together a little post and a compilation of photos of this luxury collection.
A lovely lady called Sue Cowley contacted me a few months ago to see if it would be possible to purchase some of our crystal clusters. Sue explained that she was making her friends wedding cake and wanted to decorate it to coordinate with the wedding stationery which the bride had ordered from us. Whilst we don’t normally sell the crystal clusters individually we are always happy to make an exception for customers who have ordered from the Paris collection. Our crystal clusters are specially imported and can be difficult to get hold of in the UK. I was really pleased when Sue sent us a photo of the final creation (bottom right). Sue is a midwife by day – yet the cake looks super professional and very lovely – I’m super impressed! Though from watching ‘One Born Every Minute’ I have always had a sneaky suspicion that baking and midwifery go hand in hand…
If you have requested any of our crystal clusters for extra details I’d be thrilled if you would like to share the photos with me and I can feature them on the blog too. I already know of one bride who is planning on making a brooch for her maid of honour and has promised to send me a little picture when its done. I actually made some shoe clips with the mini crystal clusters for my own wedding which you can see in an earlier post ‘Our Wedding Day – Great John Street Hotel 11.11.12’
I named this design ‘Paris’ after the most fashionable city in the world as this design is so very stylish with a touch of sparkle! Like with many of our designs you can really change the feel of the invitation with the ribbon colour and font choices. Opt for neutral shades – cream, ivory, black, slate grey or silver and combine with traditional calligraphic fonts for a classic look. Or choose of brightly coloured ribbon and a more contemporary font for a modern, summery invitation.
There is the option to upgrade from envelopes to a two-piece presentation box. This really is a lovely way to present your invitations to your guests and ensure they are completely protected in the post. We also sell tissue liners and postal box sealers for safe posting. Our presentation boxes can be posted with a standard large letter stamp. However many customers do stick with the standard envelopes and are happy with these. If you are trying to keep within a budget why not order some boxes for those invitations you are planning on posting and stick with the envelopes for the invitations you can hand deliver – the perfect compromise!
As with all our designs this collection is offered in a range of styles to suit your requirements. Choose from a classic card, a pocketfold invitation or a simple one-piece flat invite.
I will leave you with a few photographs of this lovely collection…
